Services

Testing and consulting for commercial flat roofs.

A full range of non-destructive testing, forensic, and consulting services — each concluding with a written report of findings and recommendations, and a color moisture map where applicable.

01

Roof Moisture Surveys

Non-destructive surveys locate trapped moisture and wet insulation within the roof assembly. Every survey concludes with a detailed written report, findings, and a color graph outlining problem areas.

Non-destructive
02

Wind Uplift Testing

Field testing of a roof system’s resistance to wind uplift forces, which concentrate at perimeters and corners and can compromise the entire assembly.

ASTM E-907
03

Fastener Uplift Testing

Withdrawal-resistance testing determines whether mechanical fasteners provide sufficient uplift resistance for the roof assembly and helps establish fastener-spacing requirements.

Withdrawal resistance
04

De-saturation Testing

Evaluation of moisture-laden roof components to determine the degree of saturation and whether affected areas can be dried, repaired, or must be replaced.

Moisture assessment
05

Project Management

Independent oversight of roofing projects — from specification and scope through construction observation — protecting the owner’s interests at every phase.

Owner’s representative
06

Forensic Roof Analysis

Investigative analysis to determine the cause, origin, and extent of roof failures and water intrusion, documented with objective test data.

Cause & origin
07

Expert Witness

Credentialed expert testimony and litigation support for insurance claims and construction disputes, grounded in laboratory testing and field evidence.

Litigation support
08

Bonded Pull Test

Uplift-resistance testing of adhered or mechanically attached roof assemblies to verify attachment of the total system to the deck.

The testing behind the report

Wind Uplift TestingASTM E-907 · TAS 124-95
Determines a roof assembly’s resistance to uplift pressure across the field of the roof, with corners and perimeters calculated separately.
Fastener Uplift TestingWithdrawal resistance
Confirms whether a given fastener provides sufficient static uplift resistance for the assembly, and informs fastener-spacing requirements.
Roof Moisture SurveysNon-destructive
Locate trapped moisture and wet insulation and map their extent, so only affected areas are addressed — not the entire roof.
Bonded Pull TestSystem attachment
Verifies attachment of an adhered or mechanically attached roof system to the deck.
